Honest answers to the questions we hear most from families who are
beginning this journey.
What levels of care does Heritage Oaks provide?
We offer three levels: Independent Living for active seniors who
want community with minimal assistance; Assisted Living for residents
who need help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and medication;
and Memory Care for residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia,
or other cognitive conditions. We’ll help you determine the right
fit during your tour or initial call.
How does pricing work — and what is included?
Pricing is based on care level and room type. The monthly rate
typically covers room, meals, housekeeping, laundry, activities, and
staff support. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
Please call (520) 999-0797 for current rates and a personalized quote.
Can we arrange a tour before making a decision?
Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. Tours are available seven
days a week with no appointment required, though calling ahead ensures
a team member is ready to walk you through everything and answer your
questions personally.
What happens if my loved one’s care needs increase over time?
We conduct regular care assessments for every resident. Because we
offer all three levels in one community, many residents are able to
remain at Heritage Oaks even as their needs evolve — avoiding the
disruption of moving to an entirely new facility.
What is the staff-to-resident ratio?
We maintain staffing that meets or exceeds Arizona’s regulatory
requirements, with caregivers present around the clock. Our team
members get to know each resident individually — we’re a
close-knit community, not a large institutional setting. Ask us about
current ratios during your tour.
Can residents bring their own furniture and personal belongings?
Yes — and we encourage it. A familiar environment helps residents
settle in quickly. Most residents decorate their rooms with personal
furniture, photos, bedding, and cherished items. Our team will discuss
specifics with you before move-in day.
How do you keep families informed about their loved one?
Families are partners in care. We hold regular care conferences,
provide updates when health changes occur, and encourage open
communication at any time. Visitation is always open and family
members are welcome to speak directly with the care team.
Is Heritage Oaks licensed by the State of Arizona?
Yes. Heritage Oaks operates as a licensed assisted living facility
under the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). We comply
fully with state inspections and regulations. Families are welcome to
ask about our current licensing status at any time.
